Job Description The Junior Operational Buyer is responsible for managing procurement tasks in support of Procurement and Procurement internal customers. This role will execute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks to support Latin America and NI US Branches. The position requires flexibility and organizational skills to understand and prioritize tasks to ensure the most optimal outcome. This person will issue Purchase Orders to a global supply base, follow up on the delivery of ordered goods and services, communicating with suppliers regarding Procurement requirements, while fostering positive collaborative relationships. The buyer will be required to resolve issues and conflicts related to quality, cost, delivery, payments, and compliance to NI standards. As Indirect Procurement is a Global organization, Buyer may interact and/or work on projects with Strategic Buyers or Category Managers from different geographic regions, besides interacting with other organizations, thus the person needs to show strong networking and teamwork skills. Responsibilities Timely and accurate Purchase Order execution, management and maintenance Executing PO reports on a timely manner Resolving ordering and payment issues with the help of Accounts Payable and Procurement peers for suppliers and internal stakeholders Adding approved suppliers in NI’s Supplier network Perform monthly ordering and billing reconciliations Quoting cost efficient goods and services Requirements Currently studying or recently graduated from Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Commerce, or related fields Problem solving skills Advanced English communication skills – verbal and written Ability to prioritize, multitask and quickly switch context Intermediate MS Excel, Power Point, and Word Strong interpersonal skills to interact with team members, internal customers Ability to exercise good judgment when making decisions, aligned with the company values Passion for continuous improvement.
