The Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency (KRESA) is a critical part of Michigan’s education system serving the Greater Kalamazoo region and provides specialized services to schools and communities and optimizes resources by centralizing innovative programs and services. We partner with school districts and the broader community to offer essential programs including early childhood education, special education, career learning, and educator development, ensuring that learners of all ages receive the support they need. We are currently seeking a Junior Systems Administrator at the KRESA Service Center in Portage, Michigan. This is an in-person role. The Junior Systems Administrator specializes in areas such Active Directory, Office 365, Intune, Google and Application support, and assists the infrastructure team with various projects. Candidates will also assist users with account, application, hardware and connectivity issues The essential duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Common Duties: · Responds to client inquiries concerning system operations and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems. · Provides guidance to Technology Support Level 1 and 2 technicians. · Creates and modifies documentation of software and procedures for distribution to users. · Coordinates activities with help desk, network services, or other information systems groups. · Provides updates, status, and completion information to manager, problem request tracking system, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication. · Regular and consistent attendance. · Other duties as assigned. System Administration Support Duties: · User account management, assigning group membership and rights · Ensure system and data security measures are enabled and properly configured · Establish and maintain system integrations and user account automations · Maintain efficient configuration profile settings · Email administration and troubleshooting · Maintain logical and healthy Active Directory services · Create and execute PowerShell commands as needed · Manage Intune administration tasks, including Autopilot, application deployment, and patching · Support third party hosted software · Monitor systems health using Intune Qualified candidates will have: Associates degree; or one to three years related job experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, License, Registration (must have within 1 year of hire): Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102), Associate Google Workspace Administrator or Professional Google Workspace Administrator (preferred) Other skills and abilities include: Must have knowledge of and comply with the policies and procedures contained in the Kalamazoo RESA handbook. This is a 12-month calendar position in job grade 15T with an annual rate of pay between $53,995.68 and $73,581.12.
