Build Data | Power Decisions | Lead Scalable Architecture We’re looking for a Lead Data Engineer to support one of our U.S.-based clients, providing both technical leadership and hands-on expertise across data architecture, integration, and analytics initiatives. This role goes beyond building ETLs—you’ll drive data strategy, guide technical decisions, mentor team members, and ensure that business-critical data is accurate, reliable, and accessible across the organization. At Grupo Levanter, we partner with global clients to transform raw data into actionable insights through strong engineering, automation, and modern data platforms. In this role, you’ll help lead the design and evolution of data solutions that support business operations, reporting, and strategic decision-making for a fast-growing U.S. organization. What You’ll Own Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft BI Suite (SSIS) Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, and external systems Develop and maintain RESTful API integrations for automated data ingestion Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across all data workflows Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures Support data modeling and database design for reporting and operational needs Monitor and improve database and pipeline performance Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards aligned with business KPIs Manage Power BI administration (workspaces, access control, dataset governance) Translate business requirements from U.S. stakeholders into scalable technical solutions Troubleshoot data issues and implement long-term, scalable fixes Optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability Maintain clear documentation of data architecture, workflows, and processes Who Thrives Here Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Strong experience with Microsoft BI Suite (SSIS) Advanced SQL development (queries, views, stored procedures) Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards and managing administration Solid programming experience in Python Experience working with REST APIs and data integration projects Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple data workflows and priorities in a client-facing environment English speaker at a B2 or C1 level Engineers who enjoy mentoring and developing others Professionals who balance hands-on work with technical leadership Individuals who influence decisions through expertise and collaboration Leaders who take ownership of outcomes and drive continuous improvement Strong communicators who can align technical solutions with business goals Preferred Experience Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Exposure to microservices architecture and serverless deployments Experience with containerization and deployment (e.g., Docker) Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical projects Experience establishing engineering standards or best practices Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics environments Why Join Grupo Levanter?
